We Shop 40+ Carriers to Find You the Best Rate
Your home is probably your biggest investment, and Louisiana's insurance market makes protecting it complicated. Between carriers leaving the state, rising rates, and coverage gaps most people don't know about until they file a claim, getting the right homeowners policy takes more than a quick online quote. We compare options across 40+ carriers to find the right fit for your home, your budget, and the risks specific to your area. Explore home insurance options. We also handle renters insurance and umbrella insurance for clients looking for broader protection.
View optionsLouisiana has some of the highest auto insurance rates in the country, and Baton Rouge drivers feel it. Rates depend on your driving history, your vehicle, where you park it at night, and which carrier you go with. The difference between the cheapest and most expensive quote for the same driver can be hundreds of dollars a year. As an independent agency, we can pull car insurance quotes in Baton Rouge from both sides of the market and show you exactly where the value is. See your auto insurance options. We also cover boats, motorcycles, RVs, and other recreational vehicles.
View optionsIf you live in Baton Rouge, flooding is not a hypothetical. About 25% of flood claims come from properties outside high-risk zones, and standard homeowners insurance never covers flood damage. We write both NFIP and private flood policies, and in many cases the private market can offer better coverage at a lower price. Whether your lender requires it or you just want to be protected, we can walk you through your options and find the right policy for your zone and your budget. Learn about flood insurance options.
View optionsLife insurance is one of those things people know they need but keep putting off. Term life, whole life, burial insurance, mortgage protection: there are a lot of options, and the right one depends on your age, your family situation, and what you're trying to protect. We work with carriers that specialize in each type so we can match you with the right policy without the pressure. Explore life insurance options.

I am absolutely floored with my results. I cannot recommend Zach at Chabert Insurance enough! I was shopping for car insurance and felt so frustrated dealing with other agents who completely ignored my requests, quoted me what they wanted to quote me instead of what I actually requested, and tried to price gouge me because I have a young adult child on my household policy. Other companies were quoting me well over $600 a month. Zach actually listened to my specific needs, did the heavy lifting, and locked down an UNBELIEVABLE full-coverage policy for under $400 a month! He was professional, understanding, and saved my family a fortune. If you want an honest broker who actually works for you, listens, and thoroughly explains things to your understanding, call Chabert. The customer service here is unmatched. Save yourself the headache and go straight to Zach!

I highly recommend this agency and Zach Walters. He is an amazing and caring agent. I was in what another agent referred to as an impossible auto insurability scenario, but Zach was able to successfully dispute two accidents on my record that were erroneously citing me as at-fault. I was able to secure a policy at a much lower rate than what my current insurance provider of 12 years was attempting to charge me. I’m very grateful and appreciative.

I am really grateful the someone from your company called me with the quote that I needed for my home protection. The Guy that I talked to he walked me through every step. He was also so patience with me when I asked questions it was like he understood me and my situation. (Mr Zach) Also when I called the office for him the lady(Whitney) that I spoke with was not rude she was very understanding and polite about my situation. She knew what I was talking about and she helped me with no problem. I wants to send many more amazing blessings their way and I will definitely send people their way. I want to say thank you and may God continue to bless them and company.

I worked with Zach Walters, he got me a good rate for car insurance. He was proessional throughout the whole process and very knowledgeable. He went into detail about various things and I could tell he actually took the time to get me the best price out there unlike other places that just say they got you the best price but didn't actually make an effort.

I recently worked with Whitney Boucher on my homeowners insurance, and I honestly can’t say enough good things about her. From the start, she made the whole process so smooth and stress-free. Insurance can be confusing, but Whitney broke everything down in a way that was easy to understand and never made me feel rushed or like my questions were a bother. She’s incredibly knowledgeable and detail-oriented, but also kind and approachable. I really felt like she cared about getting me the right coverage, not just pushing a policy. She kept me updated every step of the way, which gave me total peace of mind knowing everything was being handled. What stood out most to me was how genuine she is—she treated my situation like it mattered, and that personal touch made all the difference. Great customer service is hard to find these days, but Whitney sets the bar high. If you need insurance help, I highly recommend reaching out to her. I’m so glad I did, and I’ll definitely be coming back to her for anything I need in the future.

I couldn’t be more impressed with the service I received from Whitney. From the very beginning, she took the time to explain every detail of my insurance options in a way that was clear, thorough, and easy to understand. Her knowledge and professionalism stood out immediately. What truly set Whitney apart was her ability to provide me with valuable information I hadn’t even considered. She uncovered coverage options and benefits that I was completely unaware of, helping me make informed decisions that better protect me and my family. Her attention to detail and genuine care for my needs made the entire process smooth and stress-free. If you're looking for an insurance agent who is knowledgeable, patient, and truly has your best interests at heart, Whitney is the one to call. Highly recommended!
