From Bayou Lafourche to Baton Rouge
I'm Evan Gautreaux, owner of Chabert Insurance of Baton Rouge. I grew up on Bayou Lafourche in Larose, Louisiana, the youngest of four boys raised by two school teachers. After moving to Baton Rouge to attend LSU, I entered the insurance industry and quickly realized something was broken. Too many agents treated clients like numbers, pushing policies that weren't the right fit because they only had one carrier to offer.
In 2018, my wife Trissten and I partnered with former classmate Guy Chabert's family insurance business and opened the Baton Rouge office. The mission was simple: approach each client with the heart of a teacher, not the heart of a salesman. That means educating clients on their options, comparing rates across 40+ carriers, and building policies around their life, not a sales quota.
Today, our team has helped thousands of families across Louisiana, Texas, and Mississippi. But the approach has never changed. Every client gets the same thing I wished I had when I was shopping for insurance: honest guidance from someone who genuinely cares.

Baton Rouge Is Home
This is where we live, raise our kids, and cheer on the Tigers on Saturday nights. We host first-time homebuyer seminars, partner with local realtors for lunch-and-learns, and show up at community events because that is what neighbors do.
